How to Apply Application for admission may be made at any time during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) by applying in person at the PCI Admissions Office or by scheduling an appointment with one of our Admissions Representatives. PCI School Admission Requirements In order to be eligible for admission to the school, a student must have a High School diploma from an accredited high school or its equivalent (GED Certificate), or be beyond the age of compulsory public school attendance and demonstrate the ability to benefit from the training through alternate testing (see ATB testing below). PCI offers remedial tutoring for English, Math and for the GED test. Before a student can be accepted for admission to PCI Health Training Center, he or she must:
Students may apply at any time but may only start their program of study on specified start dates. Students interested in attending PCI are encouraged to contact the school well in advance of their intended start date since classes have limited enrollment and the morning and evening class schedules tend to fill up fast. If you have any questions regarding admissions requirements just call one of our admissions representatives at (214) 630-0568 and they will be happy to assist you. Ability-to-Benefit Testing If an applicant is beyond the compulsory public school attendance age and seeks admission to PCI Health Training Center based on their Ability to Benefit (ATB), the applicant must pass a federally approved examination. The school currently utilizes the U.S. Department of Education approved Wonderlic Basic Skills Test for Ability to Benefit testing. GED The school strongly recommends that any person who is not a high school graduate and has not yet obtained their high school equivalency (GED), do so as soon as possible. Post secondary school credentials are not required for admission or graduation from PCI however they significantly enhance an individual’s future employment potential and prospects. Foreign Students Applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States may enroll at PCI with an appropriate Student Visa granted by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
