PCI The Intelligent Choice As a High School Student about to graduate and enter the world of work and careers making the right education and training choices enhances your opportunities. Helping You Help Others With proper training, skilled professionals entering the allied health fields can begin a career in which the opportunities to help others and achieve personal and professional satisfaction are limited only by your desire to grow and succeed.
For high school students seeking careers in heath care PCI offers the following Training Programs:
Medical Assistant Work alongside doctors, nurses and other medical professionals in clinics labs hospitals and other health care facilities. Students learn clinical procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, injections and front office skills.
Psychiatric Assistant Assist in the professional care of the mentally ill, developmentally disabled and those recovering from addictions. Employment is found in a variety of mental heath center and social services organizations
Medical Office Assistant A six month course focusing on administrative skills used in most health care offices. Students learn computer skills, processing insurance, coding and billing, medical collections and front office management procedures
Patient Care Technician

Do you have financial aid available? YES: PCI participates in the Title IV Student Financial Assistance programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education, which include grant and loan programs to students who qualify under the federal guidelines.
Do you offer any Scholarships?
YES: PCI offers scholarships to graduating high
school seniors. The scholarship application form is available

Does PCI offer Job Placement Assistance? YES: The Career Services Department is available to assist and guide students with employment-appropriate resume design, professional dress for interviewing, effective communication techniques and interviewing skills, and assistance with job search and externship placement.
What is the admissions process? Contact the High School Relations department to schedule a tour of the school and meet the teachers and staff.
Are you accredited? YES: PCI is regulated by, and approved to operate in the State of Texas, by the Texas Workforce Commission also we are approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a Proprietary Institution of Higher Education. The Medical Assistant and Psychiatric Assistant programs are approved for the training of Veterans and other eligible persons by the Texas Workforce Commission, Veterans Education.
