Alpha Beta Kappa is the only honor Society in the arts, sciences, trades, business, technical and general studies disciplines. Alpha Beta Kappa places chapters in nationally accredited institutions which have demonstrated high standards over a period of several years in the education and training of students in numerous fields, trades and occupations that are essential to modern society.

In 2003, PCI Health Training Center established itself as a local chapter of the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society. When an individual is elected to membership in this honor fraternity, it sets him or her apart as an example of personal integrity and excellence. The major purpose of the Society is to encourage and recognize superior student academic achievement, character and leadership.

Membership Benefits

  • National student recognition

  • A.B.K. members can list the distinction on all future resumes

  • Each honored graduate receives a special congratulatory letter from Alpha Beta Kappa, a narrative about the society and, upon request, a letter of reference for employment purposes

  • Information (points of contact) to arrange networking opportunities with other Chapters can be arranged upon request

  • Each honored graduate receives a personalized membership certificate, which includes the name of the school, the Chapter name, the date of graduation and the official Alpha Beta Kappa gold seal of distinction

  • Each honored graduate receives the Honorary Alpha Beta Kappa Gold Key

Criteria for Alpha Beta Kappa Selection

  • National Certification: Students must take and pass a national certification exam, such as NCCT or ASPT, with a score of 90% or higher.

  • Attendance: Students must attend at least 90% of all scheduled classroom hours.

  • Theory Grades: Grade point average must be at least 90%
