PCI's Allied Health Education courses

In the Medical Assistant training course you will work toward becoming a National Certified Medical Assistant the course also includes medical equipment training and you will learn first aid, blood drawing, ekg, CPR for healthcare providers and disease processes and treatments.  As a MA you will be working with other healthcare professionals in doctors offices or the hospital setting.  Medical assistants main role is to keep the medical professionals practice running efficiently.

The Medical Office Assistant class you will learn the basics in medical billing and learn the medical front office and medical icd9 training and coding procedures.  As a Medical Office Assistant you will be working in doctors, CME, dentist offices or clinics.  Medical front office, medical receptionist, medical admin, billing assistant, medical secretary, office administration and medical billing training. 

The Medical Office Assistant will also learn the medical billing software used in most health care settings.

Psychiatric Assistants work with therapists and physicians caring for the mentally ill or the addicted patient.   As a Psychiatric Assistant you will be able to work as team with psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers.  Help counseling patients with their mental heath disorders, behavior issues and special needs.

Are you compassionate and have a desire to help people?  The Patient Care Technician  (PCT) program is our newest program offering.  You will learn procedures and techniques enabling you to work in the healthcare industry providing basic nursing care in hospitals, nursing homes and patient homes.  As a Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant you will also learn how to perform CPR, EKG's Phlebotomy and other lab work.  This course includes becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant CNA.  The Patient Care Technician prepares you to work in a hospital environment under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.  A (PCT) is a CNA with advanced skills and training including phlebotomy, glucose monitoring, EKG, urinary catheterization, sterile dressing changes and various specimen collections.
