DENTAL
ASSISTANT OVERVIEW |
This
course is offered at the Richardson Campus. This
course of instruction prepares a graduate to work as
an entry-level
Dental
Assistant, in a dental office, specialty
practice, dental clinic or hospital. Graduates will
be able to assist the dentist in a variety of dental
procedures, take dental x-rays, perform various
laboratory duties and perform administrative tasks
using dental software.
This program is taught with a
combination of lecture, practical exercises in the
dental operatory and dental lab and you will obtain real-world
work
experience during the externship portion of training
conducted off - campus at dental facilities.

Medical Office Assistant class
you will learn the basics in medical billing and learn the medical front office and
medical icd9 training and coding procedures. As a Medical Office Assistant you will be working in doctors,
DME, dentist
offices or clinics.
Job descriptions include Medical front office,

medical administrator, billing assistant, medical secretary, office administration and medical billing
training, medical administrative assistant.
The
MOA will also learn the medical billing software used in
most health care settings.

Patient Care Technician
(PCT)
program is an comprehensive course in patient care.
You will learn procedures and techniques
enabling you to work in the
healthcare industry providing basic nursing care in hospitals, nursing
homes and patient homes. As a Patient Care Technician or Nursing
Assistant you will
also learn how to perform CPR and First Aid, EKG's Anatomy and

Nurse Assistant
