
Scholarships for High School Students

PCI Health Training Center offers scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2009.
PCI Health Training Center is proud to participate in the Imagine America scholarship program! Each high school in our service area is allocated up to three (3) Imagine America scholarship awards for graduating seniors. Each scholarship award is valued at $1,000.00 toward the cost of tuition of any program currently offered by PCI at the time of enrollment.Applying for an Imagine America scholarship is easy and only takes a few moments of your time. The first, and most important, step is to decide which PCI campus you wish to attend – Dallas or Richardson – and the program you plan to study: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Psychiatric Assistant, or Patient Care Technician. (Note: Psychiatric Assistant program is only offered at the Dallas campus at this time. All other programs are available at either campus.) After that, the rest is simple! All applications must be completed online via the Imagine America web site. 1. Go to www.imagine-america.org, mouse-over “High School Students” and click on “Apply”. 2. Click on the letter “P” to bring both PCI campuses to the screen, then click on your choice of campus. 3. Follow the screen prompts to select the state, city and name of your high school. Note: If you're unsure whether your high school is enrolled in the program, ask your guidance counselor. There is no fee for enrolling your high school. Guidance counselors can enroll their high school by e-mailing Imagine America at scholarships@imagine-america.org. 4. After selecting your high school, you will be presented with a short application form to complete. Review your completed application form by selecting "Preview and Send Your Application." To submit your application, select "Submit This Application." 5. Your application will be sent electronically to the designated guidance counselor or Imagine America contact at your high school. The contact will review and accept or deny the application. If approved, the application is sent electronically to the High School Relations department of PCI Health Training Center. 6. PCI will then be prompted to indicate via e-mails to both you and your guidance counselor if a scholarship is available. They will then be prompted to confirm your acceptance. At this time, PCI is e-mailed your application information. Note: Acceptance is always conditionally based on the student's ability to meet the college's general admissions requirements. This is determined by a personal interview at the campus of your choice. 7. Once accepted, an Imagine America certificate will be mailed to the recipient. 8. After you receive your certificate and letter, it is important that you now contact PCI and complete any pre-admissions testing and applications, if needed.
