Medical Assistant – Hybrid

PCI’s hybrid online/on-campus Medical Assistant program can train you for a career in healthcare in as little as nine months. Study on your time, with limited on-campus commitment as you learn the essential clinical and administrative skills every medical office needs.

This program will give you the skills you need to enter the workforce. These skills can allow you to pursue a number of specializations, based on your interests, including but not limited to:

  • Medical Administrative Office Assistant
  • Clinic Assistant
  • Clinic Technical Assistance
  • Medical Office Management
  • Phlebotomy
  • Physical Therapy Aide

In as Little as 9 Months
PCI’s Hybrid Online Medical Assistant Program will prepare you to:

  • Check Vital Signs
  • Assist with Physical Exams
  • Perform Basic Lab Tests
  • Conduct Medical Diagnostic Tests
  • Schedule and Coordinate Patient Appointments
  • Transcribe Patient Medical Information

Hybrid Online Medical Assistant Training Curriculum

Our hybrid online Medical Assistant program combines in person lectures with practical hands-on exercises in our medical and computer labs.

Online Training

Our flexible online courses are designed to work around your schedule and teach you important skills like EHR, front office skills, and pharmacology.

Lab Training

In the hybrid program, you’re only required to be on campus twice weekly. During one of these days, you’ll learn to perform injections, phlebotomy, EKG, urinalysis, microscopy, autoclaving, and other vital clinical skills. Training also includes a 200-hour, real-world externship with one of our professional partners.

Medical Assistant Occupation Outlook

The Medical Assistants job outlook is projected to grow 23% from 2018 to 2028- much faster than the average for all occupations- as the growth of the aging baby-boomer population will continue to increase demand for preventive medical services.1
